Can someone explain to me the circle of fifths? I always hear about it but I don't what it is

The circle of fifths shows relationships that the twelve different tones of the chromatic scale, their corresponding key signatures, and major and minor keys that do with them. Hope this helps!

It's just a way to find out the key signature.
If you look at circle of fifths diagram and go through it clockwise, you can see that it all goes up by a perfect 5th which would be why they call it the circle of fifths.
(ex. G to D is a perfect 5th; and G major shows that there is only one sharp and going up a perfect 5th to D major would increase by another sharp - so D major would have 2 sharps)
Try searching up the diagram for the circle of fifths - it would help you understand a bit more.
