Hi there,

Does anyone out there get sharp pains when playing arpeggios? It's weird, but I seem to get pain mainly from those type of technical exercises. Any help would be appreciated. Sad

Maybe take a break now and then. If your hand starts to pain you, stop playing and move your wrists around slowly. It should relax the muscles and ease the tension in your hands.  Wink

I agree. Take frequent breaks and analyze when the pain occurs so that you can avoid that particular movement.

Try putting something soft under your hands like a mat, and take frequent breaks. Hope that helps  Smiley

Im not pro but try going to a store and buying heat pads or wrist guards that you may be able to use for your wrist pains. Try some advil and breaks when neede.

alrit 1st of all, dun listen to sandy or nima
(im not jokin)

when its aching sharply i suggest that u should take it easy. When i do arpegios it, i stop right after my wrists start straining. But if its obligation for you to play arpegios with an aching hand, put some ice on it every now and then to ease the pain. You also might wanna go to a doctor n  make sure its not the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
