How do you build up skills to play high notes fast on the trumpet? Undecided

I'd suggest to keep playing them over and over slowly, making sure you get them all correct first. Then speed it up a little and keep doing it.

Or you could try blowing really hard with the highest note you can do until failure and your blowing skillls would get better and you can hit the highest note which i know you are having trouble with in the piece EXALTATION Wink

my advice as a fellow brass player is to build up ur muscles
this doesn't happen overnight so dont count on doing it quickly (unless ur sum kinda prodigy)

This is how i practise

first do some scales as a warm up
then play ur pieces (play the whole piece, work on the parts ur having trouble with (like fast yet high passages) then play the whole piece again)
in betwen ur pieces try playing ur scales up to speed.

make sure to not over do it and always take breaks in between

oh, and listen to 0.o  Wink
